"patient experience in Crosshouse Hospital"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Medicine

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted to Crosshouse Hospital with a suspected stroke. The treatment he received in A&E and particularly in ward 4D was second to none! He was treated with the utmost respect and compassion. the nurses were brilliant.. they took time to explain everything to me about Archie's tests and results, they were so reassuring and kind that I felt I should sing their praises on here.

Thanks to all of the wonderful nurses, doctors and physiotherapists who made the experience as good as a fright like that is possible to be.

with grateful thanks

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear irvinebank,

It is such a pleasure to hear that both you and your husband both experienced such good care. I am sorry your husband had an experience of ill health and required his stay in Crosshouse, but so glad it measured up so highly.

I will be very happy to pass this to the nurses, doctors and physiotherapists to let them know how you feel about his stay and the care they gave.

I hope he is recovering well and you are not run off your feet too much looking after him.

Best wishes,

Eunice
