(as a relative),

My partner had to attend Medway Maritime, A and E Department, late Friday night, early Saturday morning, heavily coughing blood.

I cannot fault the staff or the care that she received. The staff were excellent, supportive, helpful, and friendly. Eventually she was admitted to an Assessment Ward and then onto Wakeley Ward. In both wards again the staff were exceptional, could not do enough to set her at ease and look after her.

Her stay was short term, her problem was diagnosed, treated and she was passed into an "aftercare" scheme. (She did say that she had better care and food than in some of the hotels we have stayed in)

This was my first dealings with this hospital and I had concerns about what would happen, but after this weekend my concerns are non existent.

Thank you for taking the time to respond so positively about the care your partner had received here at medway.

I was encouraged to read that the staff provided great care, attention and support throughout her stay which was reassuring and calming to both of you. Feeling looked after by a professional competent work force helps to ensure confidence and trust.
