"not allowed to see my uncle because i have..."

hi iam 23 years old with learning disablity and live on my own .because i have eplisey i am not allowed to see my uncle who is on a setion .i have not had a fit for four weeks .also got though out when i tryed to go see him .i got cross abit but surely they cannot stop me seeing him because i have eplisey .i am worried about him because he has server learning disablity and personal care not good on samfire ward .saw him though window he seems to be getting worse .my mum said hes getting worse not better.

Hi Dan, thank you for raising this matter and I am very sorry to hear you feel you have been prevented from seeing your uncle. We do seek to ensure that visitors are able to see their relatives when they are in-patients although sometimes restrictions can be necessary to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment. Could I ask that you contact either the ward manager, Lisa Medhurst, or Maria Stafford, Matron, on 01227 459371 to see what can be done to enable you to visit? Alternatively if you contact the patient experience team at patientexperience@kmpt.nhs.uk then they can help you to see your uncle.
