I entered the woodlands detox unit in april 2015 suffering from chronic alcohol misuse, having done alcohol detox before (more than once, something I am not remotely proud of) I had an idea what to expect. How wrong I was, this place is FANTASTIC, all the staff (many I already knew from previous units) involved in my treatment were caring, polite, extremely knowledgable in their relevant fields and on hand at all times which I found very comforting any concerns I had were explained and dealt with.
Medication was administered promptly and the gradual reduction monitored.
The building is clean light and airey which also helps and has a nice garden which, weather permitting you can go in to relax and unwind in the sun.
The ensuite rooms were clean and comfortable with tv freeview and dab radio, cant fault them.
I found the facilities spot on and the courses plus other activities available were excellent, and the fact you were encouraged to do as many or as few as you felt comfortable with was great.
From assessment to discharge my experience and treatment was excellent.
All in all I cant praise this place and all the staff involved enough for helping me get back on the right track many many thanks to you all, but to any anyone reading this review please bare in mind although this place and the staff deserve the glowing report ive given them, it is a detox unit not a hotel and youll get as much or as little out of it as you choose.
"Caring, polite and extremely knowledgeable"
