"Midwife was a credit to the team"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

I went into the hospital on the morning in May after my waters broke at home. I hadn't gone into labour yet so went home only for contractions to start as soon as I got home.

We returned to the hospital at about 7am and I was already 9. 5cm dilated. We were introduced to our midwife Janet, who was with us until 11. 31am when our amazing baby boy was born.

Janet was absolutely brilliant, we couldn't have asked for more in our midwife, so supportive and calm. Luckily I had a straight forward labour and gave birth naturally with gas and air.

If we have any more children I would love to have Janet as our midwife again. She is a credit to the team at Forth Valley Hospital. Our antenatal and postnatal care was also very good.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on your experience. It is fantastic to hear that it was such a positive time for you and I know Janet will be delighted with your lovely comments.

I hope you and your wee boy are well and that you are thoroughly enjoying being a new mum. So many exciting times ahead!

With best wishes to you and your family.

Gail
