"Excellent care and compassion for my uncle"

My Uncle had a severe cough & was referred by his GP to have a chest X-ray at East Surrey. This was all very quick & efficient.

Following the results of the X-ray, he has had a more in depth scan & is under the care of Dr Nimako. I accompanied him to an appointment last Wednesday in the outpatients department. From checking in to seeing Dr Nimako, the service was faultless. We were seen with care & compassion, in the meeting were Sandra Cabral & Elizabeth. The caring, sympathetic advice & support we were given was excellent & very reassuring.

We were advised that another scan would need to take place at Guildford, then a follow up appointment with Mr Nimako, these appointments would be advised to my Uncle in the post. The confirmation letters arrived a few days later & were exactly on the days we were told the appointments would take place.

It will be a long road ahead of us, but so far, the service has been amazing. Sandra phoned me on Friday as she promised, and was really understanding & offering any help we needed, which is so reassuring to us & we are very grateful. We were given lots of information & 24 hour helpline numbers in case we need them.
