I called to enquire about being able to take valerian to aid sleep for person with late stage liver disease. Was told I can only contact if I am with the patient and not for myself, which is impossible because I was asked to find out over the phone.
All the NHS 111 rep had to say is that he is following procedure. This is a waste of time and taxpayers money!
I felt rather than searching internet I should contact a respected establishment for the information to prevent someone getting hurt and then actually having to call emergency. Obviously, this is not the case when one is trying to get info about certain medications especially on Saturday when gp is not available.
I was expecting a lot better people orientated service.
