I was sent today by my GP today to Watford Hospital Ambulatory care unit. I spent 5 or 6 hours there and find it hard to put into words just how good this place is. Incredible care and facilities, Incredible staff . These new Ambulatory care units are a masterpiece. They do every test possible on the same day . ECG, Xrays, blood tests etc etc . Then at the end you get a consultation with a senior Doctor who explains all the test results and makes a Diagnosis. As it is a full day you are kind of admitted for the day, so they put a wristband on you and as you cannot really leave the ward , Tea Coffee , and sandwiches are offered as a light lunch. The best thing about the place though is the Staff . These must be handpicked because although all NHS staff are great, the staff here are exceptional. I am not a political person but the Tories must take credit for these new units, anybody who says the NHS is going downhill is wrong. As a father of 63 children , over the years I have had many dealings with the NHS. never before have I been this impressed
