"Follow up and appointments"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

My partner was in the process of seeing a consultant about her back problem when I had to rush her into hospital on October 24th 2014 with severe chest pains. She spent a week in while they carried out several tests and found that two discs in her neck were crushing a nerve. She was discharged and told that it would all be sorted in 2 months. She is still in constant severe pain and on fairly high doses of morphine. On her notes it said that the hospital would contact her for a follow up appointment but as yet nothing. I asked PALS about the treatment she was receiving for her back and why she hadn't received an appointment for that and I received the usual lie that 'they sent her an appointment and because she ignored it she has discharged herself'. Absolute rubbish. An appointment was never sent. Once you are out of their hospital you are forgotten about. They don't care about patients when they are in their so they are hardly going to care about them when they have been discharged.
