"Staff at Outpatient B extremely rude"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I was waiting to be seen at Outpatient B on Floor 1, red zone. The staff on reception there unhelpful. One person in particular was also extremely rude. Whilst waiting I saw a number of people speak to reception (which was frequently un-staffed) and each of them was spoken to dismissively. One gentleman when asking where a department was, was very insultingly told to look elsewhere. There really is no need or excuse for staff to be so rude or unhelpful.

You are right to feel disappointed and let down by staff exhibiting such behaviour. Your feedback has been sent already to the nursing team who manage the outpatient clinics in the New QEII hospital with the aim of finding out what's happening (and why), prior to tackling and changing things for the benefit of our patients. Many thanks for letting us know by the way.
