I am disgusted with the quality of care or should I say lack of it given to my husband today after day case surgery and before. Firstly after waiting to be told that he was third on the list. The nurses came with stockings which he hadn't been measured up for and gown. We asked when he should get undressed and was told as soon as they were ready for him a nurse would help him to put the stockings on. This didn't happen the theatre porter turned up expecting him to be ready but obviously wasn't so he had to wait. After the op when he was brought up from recovery he was put in to the room. When I was allowed to see him I found him in quite a distressed state he wanted to go to the toilet no one had attended to him no nurses would help they seemed all to busy so I had to help him he was unable to stand as he was dizzy if I wasn't there to help him I don't know what would of happened. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of care. On top of this the discharge letter has the wrong surgeons name and an incorrect diagnoses of his illness saying he has spina bifida when he doesn't. He's been under southmead hospital for years and has never been treated this way until now this so called super hospital.
"disgusting no quality of care bring back the old..."
