Following some sad news at our 12 week scan we require to attend the early pregnancy clinic on three occasions in five day period. In this sad time frequency visit to the hospital was hard enough but on our last appointment. Whilst we were waiting for the appointment in the reception for the women centre a women walked passed the who was in labour and stopped the have a contraction and loudly shouting in pain just less than five meters from us who was waiting partition and they were on the main corridor heading towards the materity ward. This incident added the sadness and upsetting time for both myself and my wife. I know was a little bad luck but we also feel that the hospital is also contribute to the event happen by the poor building design and department layout. Additional to this my wife required blood taken on the three occasions but the nursing staff taking the blood on all occasion did not wear gloves for the intervention of taking the blood. On two occasion did not give anytime for the area to dry after the swob. Additional to this the sharp box was not sign when it was build.
