About: Tameside General Hospital

I had a total hip replacement at the planned orthopaedic unit in Tameside Hospital on the 26th. May 2015. Everything went well from admission to discharge, did have to wait a little while on the day of my operation but that couldn't be helped as they were waiting for beds but other than that the treatment from staff, the actual operation and the aftercare was 5*. My consultant surgeon was fantastic, I was in hospital for a total of 5 days and they came to see me every day. I am recovering slowly but surely. I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to anyone, I know it has had some bad reviews but as far as I am concerned it gets top marks from me.

Many thanks for the lovely comments, I have passed them onto the staff group as a whole.

All of the staff work very hard to ensure that we deliver a service that is tailored to the individuals needs and this feedback provides us with reassurance that it is working.
