At the end of May my husband was admitted to Lampton Ward with an infection. He is totally immobile and needs everything done for him. Previously the staff on this ward cared for him in an excellent manner and, in the past he has been on this ward for between one and three weeks. On this occasion he was only admitted for 5 days but when he came come I noticed that he had pressure sores on his bottom and between his legs were extremely sore with the skin coming off !! probably urine burns - I don't know why this happened because never before has he been in such a bad condition, much worse than when admitted. Also the food is disgraceful, you would expect a nutritionally balanced meal but one day my husband was given mashed potato, pasta (double carbs) 3 finger sized pieces of hard chicken and brown broccoli, how appetising.
