"Pregnancy Assessment Unit - fantastic!"

I was referred by my midwife to the PAU following some concerns about my pregnancy. Upon arrival at the unit I was met by a very happy and bubbly member of staff and asked to wait for the midwife. The midwife arrived shortly afterwards and was immediately reassuring. They were kind, caring bubbly and very professional and put me at ease straight away. They were very personable, funny when appropriate and treated me with dignity and respect during an invasive examination. the midwife also fully included my partner in all aspects of what was happening. They brought a chaperone to assist them with the examination who was equally friendly and introduced themself when they came into the room. After the examination the first midwife fully explained what had been found and reassured me to come back if necessary. They then came back to see me to say goodbye before going for a well-earned break! I absolutely cannot fault the treatment I received today and left the department feeling reassured, confident and happy.........mostly down to our midwife and htheir fantastic skills as a midwife. I cannot thank you enough!
