What I liked
I was the lucky recipient of two liver transplants (the first was unsuccessful) in December 2008 and January 2009.
During my stay I must have seen over 50 different medical staff who were all exceptionally professional, dedicated and thorough in the execution of their tasks.
I had a few post-operative complications and each of these was dealt with in a timely, expedient manner.
I could probably write a book about the positive experiences I 'enjoyed' during my stay and it felt like staying in a hotel most of the time. I don't want to single individuals out for particular praise as it would be unfair on the rest but, the ladies in the Liver Transplant Co-Ordination team performed well above what could normally be expected of them - thankyou.
Finally, I am still visiting the RFH as an out patient and the service I am receiving is still exemplary !
What could be improved
I struggled to think of something really relevant but...
The food and the parking could do with improving.
Like most large organisations (I've worked for multinationals all my life) the planning and scheduling aspects of in-patient care could do with a degree of rationalisation.
