"Recent Operation"

I just wanted to give some feedback from my operation on Saturday 30th May and overnight stay in Alexandra ward. My operation was in the Tenby Day Unit and due to other medical issues, it was decided I should have a spinal block. The staff at theatre were absolutely amazing and made me feel totally at ease. They kept me chatting about everyday things and interests so that I was not concerned with what the anesthetist was doing. I am very curious and asked lots of questions about what was happening and what equipment was for. Once in theatre, I continued to ask questions (I am very curious.....) and the surgeon asked if I would like to watch on the screen and explained everything that I was seeing and what they were doing. Once on the ward, the staff were wonderful and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They were friendly and professional and despite being busy, they ensured that they had time for everyone. In all, this was a great display of how the NHS should work and a credit to the hospital.
