Late on Thursday evening we took my daughter to a&e. It was clear that the department was having an extremely busy night, and due to a lack of beds on the macgregor ward we spent the night in a&e before being transferred to another hospital. During that time the care my daughter received was excellent, I felt listened to and that my daughter was treated with genuine compassion. Throughout the night I felt that she was in safe hands and I was regularly communicated with regarding the next steps of her treatment. It was a long and exhausting night for all concerned but I felt the kindness we receive was above and beyond. Unfortunately as we were being transferred I didn't get chance to thank the staff properly so please send them my heartfelt thanks. I also want to thank the ambulance crew who transferred us who were equally kind and compassionate in their care of my daughter. Thanks again for doing an excellent job in such difficult circumstances!
"Excellent care"
