"Thank you AE"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

I was admitted to AE last months via my gp for migraines. I was triaged quickly and efficiently and put into a room for a short wait to see the AE consultant. All the staff very extremly professional and helpful. Regarding the below negative comments, patients need to realise that if you can walk into AE yourself breathing and able to speak, you can therefore wait to be seen. A lot of people are brought in unconscious and with other life threatening emergencies as was noted during my time in the AE department, which need immediate medical attrention. Staff have to prioritise life threatening emegencies over minors attendences. Please bare this in mind. Thank you AE!

Thanks for taking the time to write such nice feedback for us, and for your support. We hope you're feeling much better and will pass your comments along to our staff, who always like to hear how patients are getting on.
