"wonderful care"

From the minute I arrived with my 14 year old Son who had broken his wrist badly the care he received was second to none. He was forwarded to paediatric A and E who were marvellous as was the x ray dept and fracture clinic. Unfortunately he required surgery which he received yesterday morning from wagtail ward. And again from the minute we 'checked in' to when we were discharged the care and support he got was wonderful. The play team even managed to settle his anxiety by giving him a PlayStation and a variety of games to play with whilst waiting to go into surgery. The menu choices and quality of food was varied and according to him was very tasty! So in a time where people are quick to criticise Basildon hospital I just want to thank you all for the fabulous care you gave to my Son whilst he was with you. We as a family have private health care and know we would not have received better care in a private hospital so again many thanks.
