"car accident"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

A skip lorry with an unsecured load was in front of our car. A 16 inch metal bar came off the skip lorry and hit our windscreen. My partner did his best to avoid further damage to other road users and ourselves. I became unconscious so did not know what happened as soon as the object hit the window. The abulance service came from yate and the paramedics Tim and Andy were amazing and dealt with the situation brilliantly. They even tool me to swindon hospital instead of Bath as that is where I lived and easier for family and friends.

Dear jlc

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope you are both recovering well following this incident.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto Tim and Andy, the ambulance crew who came to your aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and location that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to confirm the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Please quote your Patient Opinion user name "jlc" in your contact.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
