"Excellent service"

I visited goole hospital to have keyhole surgery on damaged cartilage in my knee, from the moment I arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. I was explained the procedure I was going to have with a number of outcomes possible, I was also explained the risks that would be undertaken with such a procedure and how long my recovery time would be. These were all explained in full and correct detail to me with my involvement been paramount throughout. It was my first time under general anaesthetic and quite rightly I was nervous, but the nurses, doctors and health care assistants did a fantastic job reassuring me keep me calm throughout. When I came round from my procedure I was taken back to the ward where was I was under the supervision of a health care assistant who was superb in everything they did. When moving me from the bed to the chair I began to feel sick,from the moment I pressed my buzzer and they arrived and made sure that I got back into bed and that I felt ok. Bringing me water and biscuits. Their hard work not only looking after myself but looking after a patient across from me was impeccable. I feel staff like these do not get the recognition they deserve in the NHS and go about their work tirelessly and the care they show for patients is unrivalled, thank you. Overall my stay at goole hospital was only short but it was excellent with everyone I encountered been caring and helpful with my needs at heart. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and would like to thank everyone involved with my care. Joe Makin
