"Induction on ward 11 and emergency c -section"

About: James Paget University Hospital

I was attended to ward 11 on the 27th may to induce my labour as I was term plus 12with my first baby. The day before my consultant provided a membrane sweep but did not work. I spent 48 hours on ward and my cervix was only 2 cm dilated and ctg showed bad fetal heart rate and no regular contractions. The doctor on shift decided to send me to theatre for c-section where I delivered safely a healthy baby boy on the 29/5/15 thank you to the enthusiastic and professional team lead by the nurse. I would like to thank you to the whole staff of ward 11 and central delivery ward.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and congratulations on the birth of your son. I have shared your feedback with the teams involved who, I am sure, will be pleased to hear such positive comments. The Trust holds an annual 'Remarkable People Awards' event should you wish to nominate any particular staff members/team for this award. I would be happy for you to contact me on the telephone number below should you require any further information regarding this.
