"Colposcopy and LLETZ procedures"

As a young female faced with the prospect of a colposcopy I was petrified. My smear had come back abnormal and I needed further investigation. The nurses on the team were all very friendly and reassuring. They treated me with a great deal of compassion and respect after I found out that I would need further treatment to remove abnormal cells from my cervix. My consultant was brilliant and was very honest and open in what my care would include and allowed me to pick a day for treatment that best accommodated my young family. The consultant was friendly and warm and very understanding. The procedure itself was very quick and painless and they made me feel at ease the whole time along with the nurses.
