"Very comfortable bed, Food good ..."

About: Mount Vernon Hospital Site

(as the patient),

What I liked

Very comfortable bed, Food good but not large portions but when one lays in bed all day you loose some of your appetite anyway.

The medical staff could not do more for you, you only had to ask.

Pain management was brilliant.

Good to see matron popping round keeping a watchful eye on things.

Phisio dept excellent before and after a knee replacement.

Best of all with my new knee My golf has improved & I have lost my slice

What could be improved

No TV / phone by the bed but mobiles were allowed but 3 days without telly is not a great sacrifice.

I was very disappointed that my departure was delayed by 2/3 hours whilst i was waiting for my prescription for pain killers to take home to be dispensed, I did offer to go an get them from the pharmacy myself but this was not allowed, so my wife and i had to wait all this time.

Anything else?

I found this site by accident.

Maybe you should include a leaflet about this site and about the possibility of leaving their comments post op with the discharge documents, then you should get a better cross section of views and would make the results statically more accurate.
