3 year old badly bumped head. Told to bring him up to a e within the hour. Made to wait for three hours. two pimple were before us. What do they do up there

Thank you for your feedback; we hope your son is feeling better. I’m sorry you felt the wait was too long. All patients are seen in strict order of clinical need, and when the experienced triage nurse saw your son, the clinical judgement was made that although he needed to be seen, his injury did not require urgent treatment. Having said that, it must have been very worrying for you, and we are sorry that we couldn’t see him any quicker. Sometimes it seems quiet in the waiting room when in fact the department is very busy, for example when patients arrive by ambulance and go straight through to resuscitation. It sounds like this was the case when you were here, and can understand how that must have added to your frustration.
