I had an appointment to see the Doctor at 1620 hrs on Saturday 30.5.15. I had spoken to the Dr., at my local surgery who confirmed that I had shingles on Thursday 28.5.15 They advised me seek further advice if the pain increased. By Saturday it had become intense. Our local surgery was closed, so I rang 111 and followed the instructions. I arrived for 1620 hrs at the hospital and was seen very shortly by a Dr. I cannot speak highly enough of their concern and advice. I was able to collect my prescription at the local branch of Boots. The rash is slowly shrinking, and the painkillers allow me to sleep at night. I am so grateful that I was able to receive the treatment I needed despite it being at the weekend.
