"Ward 3 ICU & Ward 17"

About: Leeds General Infirmary

Was admitted to ICU 3 days after coming into the hospital and was in there for 6 weeks. The staff were very caring and made sure everything was okay. Didn't have one nurse who didn't do their job properly, as I was in there for 6 weeks I got to know the nurses a lot and they always made the effort to come and say hi even if they were just walking past the bed! Very happy with the service and politeness of all the nurses there. Also a big thanks to one of the nurses in particular as this was a nurse that I had caring for me quite a lot and they always made sure I stayed positive and smiling, and they always had me laughing. So please pass it on. Only 18 so it was a scary time and all the nurses made sure I was okay. After that I got moved up to ward 17 and the staff on that ward were just as nice! Including physios. Not got a bad word to say about any of the 2 wards I stayed on and very happy with the service! Even the house keeping staff were nice as well. Thumbs up from me!

Dear Sam Hirst,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Your post is wonderful to read and I am extremely pleased that you had such a positive experience whilst in our care, we aim to provide excellent care to all our patients.

I have passed your kind words onto the matron for wards 3 and 17 and have asked that they be shared with staff so that they too know of the great work that they are doing.

With kind regards

Rosie
