My 16 month old daughter has attended Children's A&E followed by admissions to Lion Ward 6 times in the last 4 months. The care and medical attention she received has been outstanding. My daughter sufferes from a Virol Induced Wheeeze which has been quite a trumatic experience for her and also me. The nurses, doctors treated both of us with kindness, compassion and respect. The nurse in A&E was very supportive and kind when my daughter had to go to HDU, they looked after me as well as my daughter. The play leader in A&E stopped my daughter crying within seconds by distracting her with bubbles and amusing her. The Lion ward team are amazing, one nurse has such a fantastic ability with children and nothing is a bother, another attended to my daughter all through the night and was patient and calm with her at all times. A big tahnk you to all the staff on both sites also the lovely staff who come round the ward each day with the paper trolly, when you are unable to leave the bedside this is most welcome. Thank you all once again.
