I lost vision in my left eye and 2 days later decided to go to prince charles to have a check up. I was sent to Llantrisant for further tests the next day...
I struggle with social phobias and panic attacks and can only function if I am slightly sedated so I have prescription diazepam. I came out of the examination room knowing that I had a problem with my eye and that's all.
I have had another appointment since this time at outpatients prince charles same thing really. Given a booklet by Specsavers to give me advice and with it came a chart to check my vision every 2/3 weeks.
In all fairness I am to have an Gray and bloods but due to other health problems I have yet to go for.
I have more than one health problem. I consider the time allocated for an examination and medical history report review just isn't adequate would it not be more efficient to supply the patient with a general questionnaire on symptoms relating to a 7or 10 day period which can be read before the examination.?
"I have been diagnosed with age related macular degeneration, well I think so!"
