"Excellent staff in Minor Injury department"

About: Blyth Community Hospital

My 3 year old son hurt his leg and wouldn't put weight on it so I was worried it might be fractured. My doctor's surgery told me to visit the minor injury clinic at Blyth Hospital and I didn't know what to expect. The hospital reception has just been updated and is welcoming and bright, matched by the friendly staff. I checked in and within five minutes we were called through. They were amazing with my son who was very nervous. They talked to him and reassured him. The person was equally understanding as they x-rayed his leg while he cried and tried to wriggle around! All-in-all the visit was quick and the level of service was exemplary. This is a brilliant facility to have in Blyth.

Dear Sir/Madam, I really hope your wee boy is feeling a lot better - it's horrible to witness children in pain and distress. Thank you for this lovely feedback about our Minor Injuries unit in Blyth. I am glad we could provide you with a high quality service close to home.Important that you didnt have to wait long for an assessment and I'm glad that staff did all they could to reassure your son - poor thing he must have been frightened and sore. Do please come back to us if there's anything you need. with best wishes, Annie
