"Nothing."

About: King George Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing.

What could be improved

I could have been given a diagnosis or some assurance that what I was suffering from wasn't dangerous. I could also have been given some extra pain relief. Instead I have to sit and wait for an appointment which will more than likely be for 4 - 8 wks. time.

Anything else?

I was admitted for about 2 minutes as I had twice been referred with agonizing abdominal pain. This second time I was sent direct to A & E with a letter from my GP who had contacted the on call surgeon to request that my problem be investigated as he thought I might have a strangulated hernia. The on call surgeon admitted me and I was made ready with canula inserted into my arm and drip made ready. I was then told to go home and attend a pain management clinic without being given any diagnosis. I was only told a superior had decided on this. I am now in excrutiating pain and can neither get an appointment with my GP or any pain relief. What a way to treat someone.
