"Being able to make an appointment ..."

What I liked

Being able to make an appointment for a blood test, what a shame this does not apply to the centre which is close to my home.

What could be improved

The phlebotomists' constant chatter with one another (gossip about ward rounds, the latest scandal etc) over the heads of the patients is so very rude. People who are afraid of needles would find it very frightening having to sit there and watch other patients being treated more like pieces of meat than people needing blood tests. There is no attempt to put people at their ease and no one is addressed by name.

Additionally, an appointment system is supposed to help those of us who still have a job to get there on time - not very helpful when the department is already running late at 7.00am!

Anything else?

£2 minimum charge for the car park is a bit of a rip off.
