I was sent by ambulance from the doctors to a and e with suspected heart attack. Ambulance was very good. A and e was very thorough and many blood test were taken. They thought I had liver disease so I was admitted to hospital in the cardiac ward where the cardi doctor saw me and established that my heart was fine. I was moved to angio ward I the middle if the night where I was looked after very well sometimes having 2 blood test a day as my liver enzymes were high. As I had a high temperature for 3 days ( I slept for 3 days) I was given paracetamol. I was sent for an ultra scan and an MRI and it was established that I had a dilated common bile duct. I was moved to tandridge ward but the staff in angio were trying for 3 days to get me a place In the surgical ward. The doctors tried to get me an appointment before leaving the hospital on the endoscopy unit to have a gall stone removed from my bile duct, but unfortunately there were no free spaces so an appointment was made for me a week to the day from when I left the hospital. I got confused, as I never see the same doctor twice and each one seemed to have a slightly different opinion. I was almost released on the weekend, but when I said that I was supposed to be having an MRI I was kept in. The note for the MRI was in the wrong place in my file and nobody could find it until one if the doctors went completely through the file and found it. I waited 3 days to see a surgeon I think that was because I was on angio and the heart doctors were seeing me.
Negative comments. A lot of the deserts had dairy in them and I do not have dairy, the same with the main courses. There are no low fat options which made it difficult for my self as fatty foods disagree with me and would not be good for my Gall bladder ( I had passed a gall stone, hence the problem with the liver enzymes, I was told, ) so I did not want to eat fatty foods. I also do not drink tea and there was a limited amount of peppermint and camomile tea. I tried roast pork and another kind of roast but the meat tasted disgusting so I left it.
All the staff were very kind, helpful and caring.
