"My granddad's final few weeks"

About: Birmingham Hospice – Erdington

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The hospice staff did everything they could to make my granddad's final few weeks and days comfortable for him, whether that's bringing him a drink or taking him outside for a cigar.

Everyone was amazingly helpful, going out of their way to help not only us but all of the visitors to my granddad.

Our staff are committed to making every moment matter for people we care for and their families.

Each family will have different moments - it could be something largescale like arranging a wedding or it may be something smaller like taking someone outside for a smoke. It is all about what matters to them.

It's great for us to hear how we made those moments for your family.
