"Having sprained my ankle I attended ..."

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Having sprained my ankle I attended the A&E for assessment. Despite the information saying that there would a long wait I was taken through very quickly and seen and assessed by an Exrended Scope Physiotherapist who was very professional and explained everything that they were doing. They were able to refer me for an X-Ray and reviewed the results without having to wait for a probably less experienced junior doctor. No further treatment was required and i was discharged within an hour with advice on management of the sprain. This was a really good example of modernisation of the NHS and is to be commended.
