"Poor Physio Treatment causing condition to worsen"

About: Wellington Community Hospital

I have sciatica probably from a slipped disc, I was referred by the doctor for physio, I have had this since February and originally saw an osteopath which improved things but I still ended up on anti inflammatory and painkillers , the condition was very slowly improving and I managed to stop some of the tablets, however after the second visit to the physio where they laid me on my bad side and rocked my back the next day I was worse again, I had to visit the doctors for more tablets, I am now taking triple the amount of medication plus another form of painkiller and sought other methods of pain treatment, I have had to have a week off work, I cannot walk or sit properly, bend down and am in constant pain. I do not think that this is acceptable. The physio I feel was disinterested, had little time for me and on the third visit had lost my notes, I told them that I was not happy and I did not want any more treatment. Obviously they were slightly worried about this and did check me over, I wish that I had never been referred, everything that I do since this treatment aggravates the back pain and sciatica now and I am worse off than when the condition started.
