"NHS Excellent Response to a Heart Attack"

Last Saturday I had a heart attack, a frightening and overwhelming experience. I am writing in praise of the NHS teams who responded quickly and professionally to this emergency. A paramedic and then an ambulance arrived quickly following the 999 call, diagnosed the problem and got me to the Basingstoke Hospital Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) where a team was ready and waiting to carry out a life saving procedure all within the 'golden hour'. Thanks to all involved, from the call handler to the paramedic and ambulance team and particularly to the doctor and all the who work in the CCU. The care I experienced was excellent and shows the NHS at its most efficient, responsive best. A huge thank you to all concerned.
