"Interventional radiology fantastic care"

About: The Royal London Hospital

I was recently admitted for 24 hours for a uterine artery embolization. I came at 7 in the morning to the day ward where I was checked in by the nurses who were very nice. At around 1030, I was brought up to theatre by a very cheerful porter. A cannula was inserted into my right hand painlessly by a very gentle nurse and various antibiotics and painkillers were given before the procedure. I felt very well looked after and safe during the procedure and my pain management by the team was excellent. After some recovery time, I was brought down to ward 3D. The health care assistants and nurses were very helpful. I went home next day thinking that went a lot better than I expected it to mainly because of the fantastic care I received.

It is great to hear of your experience during your short stay in hospital. We value all patient feedback and share all comments with the team that provided the care and treatment. It is good to read that you felt very looked after and safe, and that the health care assistant and nurses were helpful. Wishing you all the best and a full recovery Barts Health NHS Trust
