"Thank you for help with my anxiety"

My life became increasingly controlled by fear and anxiety. I could not drive after 30 years of safe driving. I had to sit in the back seat of cars as the front seat made me panic. I could not go to places where I felt trapped, eg theatre, meetings etc. I could not walk on the pavement next to busy roads. Even some things in the home made me anxious.

After I reached crisis point and a long wait of 7 months I began Cognitive Behaviour Therepy with Tracey at Talking Mental Health Derbyshire. Within a few weeks I was driving, short distances at first and then sitting in the front seat of the car and then over time with Tracey's help I was able to deal with most of my anxiety.

I still have bad days but never as bad as before I started treatment. I now have the tools to help me through situations if I find them difficult.
