On Thursday 28th May, my daughter went in for an exploratory operation. Once we had found our way to the car park and as we were buying a ticket we were in a queue and the nurse in front of us turned round, smiled at us, bought a ticket and went on their way. (Nice way to start the day!) Once we got to where we needed to go it turned out that this same nurse was looking after my daughter for her pre operation checks. This nurse was wonderful. Gentle, smiling, kind and very caring. Despite being very busy, they kept checking to see if my daughter was alright. Then, the anesthetist came in and was just as lovely and engaging, lots of smiles, lots of chat which was just what my 19 year old needed to feel at ease with the whole process. It was lovely to see that staff at the hospital treated us as individuals with real care and compassion. If you can pass on my thanks to the nurse, i'd really appreciate it. These nurses deserve to know they do a great job.
