"Confidentiality and patient care"

About: New Cross Hospital

I took my daughter to the eye infirmary, arrived at 8.30 for appt at 8.45 we were seen at 09.15 as the ophthalmologist who came in at 9.00 was too busy talking to another nurse about their holiday plans in reception. After the consultation the ophthalmologist was discussing discussing my daughters case in reception area with another nurse, to which my daughter was commented " they don't sound very happy do they". Then we were seen by a nurse who didn't call us by name, walked off without saying which room we were supposed to go into which left us wandering where to go. The nurse didn't introduce themself, and to top it all off, they didn't close the door. I stated the nurse was breaching confidentiality and pointed out all the steps they should have taken, to which the nurse agreed and stated "yes that was bad wasn't it". I was absaloutly horrified as to the way confidentiality and patient care is just not considered in this dept.
