"Time keeping (or lack of!)"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I arrived at the hospital well before the given time, asked at the desk where to go and was told that the clinic wasn't open yet so I must sit and wait in the waiting area. 30 mins later I see an elderly chap being directed to a different waiting area, when I went back to the desk to enquire I was then told that the clinic is now open, I'm sat in the wrong area and am late for my appointment! Once I got to the correct area I'm informed that the whole clinic is running late as the Dr is busy. What everyone needs to understand is that most of the patients are busy too and the hospitals lack of ability to communicate properly and the Dr's tardiness is making all of us late too!

Dear reviewer, Thank you for sharing your experience with us, all feedback whether positive or negative helps us to shape and improve our services. We are incredibly sorry to hear you were directed to the wrong place and therefore late for your appointment - this is not the kind of thing we expect to see from our receptionists/clinic coordinators. Without further detail about the clinic you visited, it is hard to share this feedback with the team so we ask that you please send further information (your name, DOB, name of doctor you saw, clinic number or appointment type) to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk so we can share this with the service. Kind regards Laura Mort Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
