"Speedy paramedic care after cheese rolling"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

My son, after participating in the uphill cheese rolling competition and surviving fully intact, was walking home through the woods, tripped on a tree root and head butted a tree.

Concussed, we walked him back to the cheese rolling hill to find lovely, caring paramedics, who checked him over, placed him in an ambulance and took him to Gloucester Royal. He was quickly given the all clear.

I phoned my husband to collect us and he'd only just got back from walking home from the cheese rollers... A very speedy and caring service.

Thank you.

Dear C mg

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your son is feeling much better now.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

As you can imagine, the cheese rolling event can draw many attendances from our service. I would really like to pass your kind comments onto the Paramedic and ambulance crew who came to your sons aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and approximate time that you sought our assistance? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Please quote your Patient Opinion user name "C mg" in your contact.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
