"Ear, nose and throat"

About: Barnet Hospital

I was referred by my GP to the ENT department, and was seen that same afternoon in the A & E. The wait was a little less than an hour. The doctor knew that I needed urgent treatment, gave their diagnosis and contacted relevant specialists in the Medical and in the Opthalmogical departments, was themself knowledgeable and prescribed the appropriate medications to ease my pain and discomfort, and to treat my complaints. I was allowed to go home but given a follow-up appointment for review once the medicines had been taken. This second visit also went smoothly although I was referred to a further specialist department by a medical registrar, and also by my GP when I presented to them the next day.
