About: Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

my mother attended the eye hospital on 9/02/15 and was told she would get a apointment it is now 28/05/15 and still no apointment phoned up and got told that it would be near the end of the year. I thaught that the waiting times for a opp was sopose to be no longer than 8 weeks. Why is it taking so long does anyone no why?cheers pat
