I attended the ultra sound department with my elderly mother yesterday could not fault the staff at all very helpful polite and very caring towards my mother would definately recommend this department to anyone who needs to go . But the same can't be said for the restaurant she is a diabetic so we took her in after the procedure will not be returning there bring your own sandwich if you are likely to need one I spent £4 .20 for a plate of cold fish and chips

Hello, first of all I am so sorry that you did not get a response to this at the time. There have been some technical problems with the site which meant some posts were not appearing in our feed.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience, and I am very pleased that your mother was well cared for in the ultrasound department.

But I am really sorry about the poor standard of catering you experienced. If anything like this ever happens again, though I hope it won't, please do ask to speak to the supervisor at the time so they can put it right on the spot.

Our catering services have recently been reviewed, and when the new hospital wing opens there will be further changes which will give patients and visitors more choice in catering outlets, and we hope this will be helpful for people.

We understand how important it is for people with diabetes to be able to eat the right things at the right times, and if that ever causes a problem, please do speak to a manager at the time, and let us know so we can make sure it doesn't happen again.
