"Still awaiting a follow up appointment"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I was seen by a lovely doctor back in March this year, regarding bleeding after intercourse and pelvic pain. I had biopsies taken and a smear test done and was told I would be sent a follow up appointment to discus further tests/treatment. The smear test came back clear but I am still waiting an appointment to find out what if anything the biopsies showed and what can be done for the pain/bleeding. I am still suffering lots of pelvic pain and still bleed on the odd occasion I can tolerate any kind of intercourse. It is almost 10 weeks since my first appointment and apart from a letter dated 1st April saying my smear was clear and that I would be receiving an appointment to attend the colposcopy, I have had nothing since. My GP doesn't seem to know what is going on either. Please can you tell me where I can find out my results and what happens next regarding any treatment. Many Thanks

Dear Tracy Thanks for taking the time to post your comment. We are sorry to hear that you have not received further correspondence about your treatment. We would like to look into this and see what’s happened. Please can you email your details (name, address, date of birth and hospital number) to me on Natalie.Mobbs@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and we’ll investigate. Kind regards, Natalie Mobbs Gynaecology admin supervisor, Leicester's Hospitals
