"What a shame not everyone treats people with..."

I have been a patient at Kings mill on several occasions and I have always spoken very highly of all the staff who always treat you with respect, dignity and as a human being. On my last visit however, the consultant Cardiologst made me feel like I was just a number. I have worked as a manager within the Nhs for many years and I know many consultants/gps who treat everyone with respect. The consultant was however an exception, no eye contact, no proper examination and I was made to feel I was wasting their time. After waiting for an appointment for weeks and me making a journey to attend this appointment I at least expect to be treated in a respectful manner. The consultant may well be a specialist in their given field, but perhaps would benefit with a people skills course.
