"Proud to work in the NHS"

About: Good Hope Hospital

We visited A&E at Good Hope on Friday 22nd May with our 3 year old son who was having difficulty breathing & vomiting... Our first contact with the hospital was the receptionist who did not hesitate in sending me round to A&E as they could see I was distressed. It was the first time our little boy had exacerbated asthma & we were terrified.. The care & attention we received by the clinical staff was outstanding...this continued on CAU & throughout the night until discharge the next day.. They all took time out & I no they went well above & beyond to look after us. Our little boy was treated so well & he relaxed because of the atmosphere.. I have worked in the NHS for 28 years & never have I felt prouder.. Forgive me for not knowing the names if everyone as we would really like to thank each one of you.. Thank you from me, my husband & especially our little one from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel safe & helping us to look after our precious little angel. XX

Dear Madam

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your recent experience at A&E and Children's Assessment Unit at Good Hope Hospital.

I am forwarding your comments to Anna Howell, Matron for Accident and Emergency(ED), Dr Ola Erinfolami, Clinical Director for ED, and Monica Morrin Ward Manager for Childrens Assessment Unit, who will ensure that your feedback is communicated to all of their staff.

I hope this is acceptable and I hope that your son is recovering well.

With Kind Regards

Marie Helebert
